BioDeutschland e.V. and the BioRegionen working committee (BioRegio)
The biotechnology industry association BioDeutschland e.V. has set itself the goals of supporting and promoting the development of an innovative economic sector based on the modern life sciences. The association now counts 300 members nationwide. The BioRegionen working committee (BioRegio) is the central hub for Germany's regional initiatives.
Because of its geographical situation, Life Science Nord is oriented towards cooperation with life science networks around the Baltic Sea. ScanBalt is an association of cluster organisations, networks, research institutions and companies from eleven Baltic states.
Ministry of Economics and Technology excellence initiative: 'go-cluster'
The German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology has recognised the value of cluster work and supports cluster and cluster managements with the measure 'go-cluster: Exzellent vernetzt!'. Life Science Nord has been a member of this nationwide initiative since November 2013.
Bronze Label of the European Cluster Excellence Initiative
This EU-wide initiative aims to look at success factors and future perspectives from industry clusters across borders and compare them based on objective criteria. Life Science Nord has been successfully benchmarked and received the Bronze Label of the European Cluster Excellence Initiative in January 2014.
