Project Manager / Projektmanager Biotech / Pharma / Life Sciences (m/f/d)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage contract development and manufacturing projects to achieve project objectives throughout the entire project life cycle.
  • Responsible for ensuring scope, timelines and quality of projects.
  • Utilize project management tools to effectively plan, execute, and manage projects on a day-to-day ba-sis.
  • Generate and control project plans to map out project timelines, outline resource requirements, define communication plans and identify risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Act as the key interface between Phyton’s project teams and the customers by defining, communicating, documenting and tracking project scope, objectives, priorities and progress. Ensure efficient communication with our customers through project meetings and documentation.
  • Streamline communication with internal and external project stakeholders including the project team.
  • Generate project update reports to communicate progress on the projects within Phyton and the customer organization.
  • Work closely with our project teams of scientists and engineers from R&D, Production, Analytical, Qual-ity Assurance and Regulatory Affairs departments, and across company sites to align project tasks, ob-jectives and priorities.
  • Support our Business Development team in assessing resource needs of project opportunities in the proposal stage and their impact to current and future projects.
  • Work with our Finance team to monitor financial performance of projects and determine necessary actions.
  • Further develop and implement project management tools and processes across the organization.

Your Profile

  • Life sciences background with B.Sc. or M.Sc. in biotechnology, biology, biochemistry or related field and/or Business Engineering/Administration degree.
  • At least 3 years of relevant project management experience in the life sciences sector, ideally in a GMP-regulated environment.
  • Excellent written, oral, and visual presentation and communication skills.
  • Finesse in managing complex, multi-dimensional projects with a variety of technical and operational challenges.
  • Ability to work effectively and adapt priorities in a fastchanging and customeroriented environment.
  • Team player with the ability to lead, to motivate, to seek and incorporate input from team members and subject matter experts and to resolve problems.
  • Detail-oriented but can also see the “big picture”.
  • Positive and empowering attitude and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Independent, well-organized and result-focused working style.
  • Sound knowledge of biotech development and manufacturing technologies. Familiarity with GMPs is a plus.
  • Fluent in English and German.
  • Experienced in MS Office including MS Project.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
