The startup "Magnexion" was founded in 2024 in Hamburg by 3 former scientists of Philips Research. The goal is to develop and market a wireless technology for localization of tiny objects. Various applications in medicine like tracking of catheters and instruments in the operation room will profit from this. Compared to existing methods, no radioactivity or harmful X-ray is applied.
