14. Dezember 2023 Dr. Jürgen Walkenhorst is leaving Life Science Nord

"It has been a great pleasure for me to work together with so many committed players from science, business and politics over the past year and a half on the further development of the life science sector in Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg. Looking back on the experience I have gained from countless discussions, events and meetings, I am firmly convinced that the region is excellently positioned for the future thanks to its diverse strengths and exemplary willingness to cooperate. For me, this makes Life Science Nord one of the top clusters in Europe!"

Dr. Walkenhorst also emphasizes his personal thanks to the entire LSN team for their tireless efforts and comprehensive commitment.

"Every day, the team does a great job of promoting the life sciences sector in the North and giving the players and topics from the cluster visibility far beyond the region. I would like to thank everyone for the high level of positive energy and innovative spirit with which topics and challenges are tackled in the team."

Interim Management and Succession

The shareholders of Life Science Nord Management GmbH – the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, the State of Schleswig-Holstein and Life Science Nord e.V. – are already in the process of finding a successor.

Maike Honold, Director Finance at LSN, will take over as interim Managing Director from January 1st, 2024 until a new Managing Director of LSN GmbH is appointed.
