LungenClinic GrosshansdorfGermany's first G-BA-recognized lung center where ~12,000 patients are treated annually as inpatients and outpatients in the areas of pulmonology, oncology, palliative medicine, thoracic surgery, anesthesia and intensive care medicine.
The LungenClinic cooperates with many other clinical and university institutions and is one location of the German Center for Lung Research (DZL), which works together with 28 partner institutions on improved strategies against lung cancer, COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, asthma, and allergies. Clinical studies are also carried out at the LungenClinic, giving patients the opportunity to be treated with new and not yet approved medications.

The LungenClinic is an academic teaching hospital of the Universität zu Lübeck where medical students are trained.
