The TECHNIKZENTRUM Lübeck (TZL) is a joint venture of the Lübeck business community for the promotion of innovation, knowledge transfer and the establishment of new companies.Settlement
The TECHNIKZENTRUM Lübeck (TZL) offers innovative companies high-quality and flexibly scalable office, laboratory and production space at two central locations in Lübeck. A total of around 55,000 m² of space is available in 20 buildings.
As an accompanying one-stop agency for its tenants and project partners, the TZL promotes cooperation between companies (B2B) and universities, initiates and supports technology transfer projects and acts as an incubator for new business ideas. The TZL is also home to Fablab Lübeck – an open high-tech workshop with 3D printers and laser cutters where start-ups and companies can develop prototypes easily and cost-effectively.

GATEWAY49
GATEWAY49 is a start-up accelerator from Lübeck – with additional locations in Flensburg, Neumünster and Norderstedt – that aims to sustainably promote start-ups and innovations as part of the digital agenda of the state of Schleswig-Holstein. Up to 15 teams per year are brought as close as possible to market maturity through a structured nine-month coaching, mentoring and training program – without giving up shares and with funding of up to 35,000 euros per early stage team and 5,000 euros per later stage team per year.
The focus of GATEWAY49 is on targeted support for founders in the early idea phase who are pursuing digital business models, particularly in the focus sectors of medical technology, logistics, smart city, energy, food, construction and aerospace.
The project is managed by the TZL and is funded by state and ERDF funds as well as partners and sponsors from the regional economy.
