northh-medical has developed sMaRT-Sync, the world's first MR compatible Doppler-ultrasound device enabling fetal cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging. sMaRT-Sync will have a significant impact on diagnosis of congenital heart diseases. Fetal cardiovascular anomalies can be detected in-utero with high temporal and spatial resolution. The technique permits the implementation of all cardiovascular MRI techniques such as blood flow measurements or fetal oxygen saturation measurements.
