Innovation is the driving force behind every great improvement to human wellbeing. In October 2015, the World Health Summit will for the first time give a voice to startup companies who strive to take responsibility for the improvement of global health. The new "WHS Startup Track" aims to highlight and display outstanding ideas and innovative business concepts that have the potential to change the way people are diagnosed, cured and informed, thus revolutionize healthcare. The emergence of health startups and accelerators in recent years has created a completely new field of innovation: from preventing ill health and improving diagnosis to, improving treatment and the management of illnesses, these innovations are allowing people to lead healthier lives. In medical science, this is creating new avenues for ideas to be translated into novel products and services that help people.
The "WHS Startup Track" offers participants the chance to display their business ideas and to network with the world's leading minds in the healthcare sector. They will establish strategic partnerships to improve their visibility and credibility with potential investors, industry, political decision makers, doctors, and patients.
